What A Wonderful Wonderful World This May Be...

HOME!!!
~
I made it to school today after a lot of medicine and a lot of prayer last night. I woke up on my own at 6 am. All 4 kids on the bed stretched out and as usual, Grace was snoring!! Mama's girl!!  Unfortunately I woke up to a voice mail that made me so angry. I have kind of taken a classmate under my wing. She is a recovering addict and walks a bunch of miles just to catch a bus to and from school, and works revamping super old beautiful homes on the worst side of town. Anywho, she lives in Boardman so I have taken it upon myself to drive her to and from school, and sometimes work.  Youngstown is really working to beautify the town, and she is a hard worker with lots of potential. Well lately she has been missing class spuratically  (sp) and I got worried because she hurt her back at work and got my cold all in the same couple of weeks. So I get a call yesterday from her boyfriend saying they were in Boardman having lunch and when they left BPD pulled him over for an expired tags, only expired for one day. He felt that he was targeted. I told him to call a lawyer friend of mine. Then I didn't hear anything. This morning I got a message from him saying she was arrested for buying and selling heroin and she had heroin on her when they took her. I just gave her 200 to go and see her kids (that were removed from her) and take them to dinner ... guess where that money went? I gave her some spending money a couple of weeks ago to go and get some summer clothes and shoes. Well, I don't have summer clothes ( yes I do have some that my ex bought me a few years ago) but you know when you think someone is trying to better themselves, you don't mind helping... I'm an idiot.  Lessons learned.

Nesting... did you ever hear of that? There is a gal in my Critical Thinking class. Cute, smart, personable. Well she and her husband are expecting their 7th  child in September. SEVEN. They started in their Junior year in high school and have had one every year since. So I was listening to her and a few girls in the row behind me talking about how she went and did some shopping yesterday and then she came home early to do nesting. If she is who I think she is (long story, marriage no. 1) her husband is a contractor and a few years ago they built their own home with the help of family and friends. Its in Girard, way in the country and very beautiful. She is working hard to get her BS...BA???? In Medical something. She works part time at a clinic in Sharon. Anywho, my original question, nesting...

Around the fifth month of pregnancy, the "nesting" instinct can set in. This is an uncontrollable urge to clean one's house brought on by a desire to prepare a nest for the new baby, to tie up loose ends of old projects and to organize your world.

Females of the animal kingdom are all equipped with this same need. It is a primal instinct. Just as you see birds making their nests, mothers-to-be do exactly the same thing. The act of nesting puts you in control and gives a sense of accomplishment toward birth. You may become a homebody and want to retreat into the comfort of home and familiar company, like a brooding hen. The nesting urge can also be seen as a sign of the onset of labor when it occurs close to 40 weeks of pregnancy.
Nesting brings about some unique and seemingly irrational behaviors in pregnant women and all of them experience it differently. Women have reported throwing away perfectly good sheets and towels because they felt the strong need to have "brand new, clean" sheets and towels in their home. They have also reported doing things like taking apart the knobs on kitchen cupboards, just so they could disinfect the screws attached to the knobs. Women have discussed taking on cleaning their entire house, armed with a toothbrush. There seems to be no end to the lengths a nesting mother will go to prepare for her upcoming arrival.
just an FYI.

Brought my CT grade up 2 grade points. Now I really have to hunker down and get an A in this class. I really like her and she is a good teacher I just have to be a better student.

Well, I was thinking about taking a nap, but Brenden and his friend are here sanding the walls and cleaning the bathroom to get it ready to paint. Pictures sometime next week I presume. I am so happy with the way life feels anymore. My sis called me to make plans for my birthday, but I'm not up to it, and I told her maybe breakfast this weekend. And a pedi would be nice too.

Tranny crashed in the Hyundai. Yay. I'd like a new car, but honestly no car payment ?? Maybe one more year and a nice down payment... We'll see. Have to make an appointment to get Casey's cherry eye done. I think I'll do that with my July check. And on a long weekend so Grace cant tear off that hood!! Mean Girl! Grace is really gaining weight on this medicine she is on. Poor girl.
