What a DAY!!!

It was busy crazy fun day. I was up at 530 making lemon curd for my cheesecake and making ganache for the toppings. I showered and was out the door by 8 am. Biscuit deliveries all morning ( I love those VXI ppl, they just spend and spend ), then home to get cheesecakes then stew and sauce and peach cobbler and stuff from the fruit farm over to my ex's. Then out to Lordstown to deliver to my friend Lauren. Whew.
`
You know, sometimes I remember how much I loved LosAngeles, and my sister and her husband are planning on moving to New York City and buy a Brownstone and I think Oh I want to go to somewhere busy when I graduate, then, I take a drive in the country today and well, I am a country girl, I do believe.

Then I hung out at 'the house' and took some memory pictures ... the girls growing up and the love that they all had for that old country home.  I saw these last week and had to take pics ...

and the cars... or 'first wives' as I used to call the merc, and the new wife... thunderbird

and some fun memories and one for Jim, of course!!!

  1. Good evening Mair -

Your day was very full of work, memories, and enjoyable countryside.

I am thankful the photographer took my better side, full frontal might not live up to expectations.

One day I hope I am at the place the couple above are, with someone to enjoy the natural freedoms.

    Jim

  2. Those doors are a treasure, they need to be preserved.

I think you came up with a great idea. I always thought about 5 acres surrounded by shrubs and trees for privacy. The postman would have to get use to the idea.

    1. When my 1st husband and I were married, we had 2 acres, but we were close to the road, our property was L O N G and D E E P...BUT our 'next door' neighbor's driveway went from the road up a HALF A MILE! They had a mansion and a lake and a picnic area and were dead in the middle of 10 acres of lavender, soy and corn. You had to 'buzz' halfway up the driveway JUST IN CASE!! I loved their home! And mine <3

  3. The neighbors would have to get use to me, I past the point of being able to buzz. I knew a couple in east Texas who had property with plenty of privacy. It was perfect. Warm enough to enjoy year round.
