Friday!

Well, I am finally out of bed. Heading to the doctors this afternoon and then back to work and school on Monday. This sick really knocked me out, but when I was not delirious, I was taking some stock in my life. You know, I feel good about how life is going. If you are a reader, you know I am afraid of February 17th, 2014 because I won’t have anywhere to go!! I have had a couple of job offers, but I am going to wait … and see.

I got a text during the week… I’m coming to town do you want to ‘’hook up’’? Really? ‘’hook up’’? Honestly, if the question would have been ‘do you want to meet for dinner’, I would have said yes! Yeah, I know, I have heard all the flack, but to be honest, I’d have dinner. But ‘hook up’, I think not. I ‘hear’ you are in this great place, relationship wise, financially, career wise… why would you want to do that to your girl? And I am taking it slow, but I really do like my friend John! Who knows, this may actually go somewhere! We have so much fun, we really do LIKE each other. And he is making an effort to get Queen Grace to like him! We have so much fun together. Why, in the name of God would I ever EVER do anything like ‘hooking up’ and potentially hurt him? I wouldn’t. But, thanks for the offer. Wrong offer though.

On a different note, Spikey is doing much better with his ear, and except for an occasional seizure, Grace is her usual joyful self, and Casey is an absolute doll. Phoebe hasn’t left the house for 3 weeks, and so even the babies are doing well.

When I finally woke up for real last night, I could see that my drive had been cleared, obviously a couple of times. So I called Pete and asked him what it was doing outside. He said that it’s been snowing, non-stop, all day. He said he tried to call me, but there was no answer. Apparently I slept through a couple of phone calls and messages. When he called, he called to thank my friend for doing his driveway twice yesterday. I just smiled because I just know that I am really a lucky girl. So I opened the garage door last night to see and there was a path cleared for the mailman, and a box, with pasta e fagoli and fresh Italian bread. J Life is good.

Well, I need to get a shower and get out of here. I know it’s going to take me hours to get ready! And since I haven’t been here to say it to you…

HAPPY

NEW YEAR!!

  1. Glad you're feeling better. And I had a friend like that, he'd shoot me an email when he was coming to Chicago and I finally said "I don't hear from you for 6 months, and then you want me to come stay overnight with you"? Haven't heard from him since. He always was a whiny little beyotch. I'm not that desperate. yet. LOL
