Wednesday Hodgepodge

A BIG thanks to Joyce for coming up with the Hodgepodge questions
each week and hosting us all on her blog.
1. In your opinion what's the most important job in the world? Oh, and parenting is a given so besides parenting, what's the most important job in the world?
~ This is kind of tough. I think parenting is THE most important job in the world. But, since that can't be an answer, I think being a loving caring spouse is the most important job. There is nothing in the world that feels better than coming home at night to your very best friend. To the one person that knows all the queer things in your life, but you are still number one anyway. We all can't have that, just like we can't all be CEO's I guess. But lucky is the woman/man that is married to their one true love.

2. Share a favorite or not so favorite memory from a childhood birthday.
~ I have to say, that I don't remember any birthday parties from my child hood. Mostly I guess because its things only got worse when we were celebrating any occasion.

3. Peanut butter-crunchy or smooth?
~ Smooth.  I like peanut butter but not peanuts.  Crunchy is too close to being peanuts.

4. William Butler Yeats is credited as saying, "Happiness is neither virtue nor pleasure nor this thing nor that but simply growth, We are happy when we are growing." Your thoughts?
~ I think happiness is fleeting, for one thing.  It's too dependent on outside circumstances and we rely on others or things to make us happy.  A better thing to find is the deep-seated joy that comes from having a relationship with the Lord.

5. What's something that makes you cringe?
~ Pedophiles

6. Name a song that always puts you in a good mood?
~  I'd have to say....

7. The answer is yes. What's the question?
~ Are you spending the weekend ALL ALONE????  Mom's staying at my sister's for the weekend. I may stay in bed all day and walk around NAKED!!! ;-*  (you know who that is for)

8. Insert your own random thought here.
~ I had a situation that left me kind of a wreck over the weekend. But, spending time with friends really helped me. I have great friends. I have people that really do care about me. This weekend with my mom going to my sister's will be perfect. I need a couple of days to just hibernate. I really want to just veg with BRAVO and forget the impact that this issue has had on me. People don't care what they do to others. I cannot imagine just killing my child. What I wouldn't give to  have .... nevermind.

  1. All right Mair - You pulled me into this one and forcing me to make comments. You know how to get my interest.

    1. Most important job is one each person has. The job is doing what is right each day. Treating people with respect, working, doing what is right.

    3. Crunchy for me, very sandwich is crunchy peanut butter and mustard sandwich.

    4. I see happiness in my dogs.

    5. Pedophiles - I was a victim for ~ 3 years of a pedophile when I was in my teens. Excuse my English, but fuck them.

    7. What a wonderful idea! Enjoy the feeling. Have you been converted or just coming out? Once gone nude, you may never come back!

    8. The past can never be changed, it only teaches us how to cope and be stronger.

    A kiss and a hug,

    Jim
